The Johnson County local meet is designed to encourage athletes to participate in track and field. The top six finishers (9 to 14 years old) in each event can advance to the state meet at Shawnee Mission South on June 24 and 25. There they will compete for the regional and, ultimately, the national meet held annually in Hershey, PA.
All expenses for the national meet will be paid by the Hershey Food Corporation.
Participants can enter a maximum of one track and two field events, or one field and two track events.
Ribbons will be mailed to the top six finishers after results have been verified.
Six to eight-year olds receive participation ribbons for their events.

Registration begins April 1, 2011.
The track meet will begin at 8 a.m.
Cost: There is no entrance fee.
The top six (6) qualifiers, ages 9 to 14, in each event will advance to the Kansas State Meet, June 24-25, 2011 in Overland Park at Shawnee Mission South Stadium, 5800 W 107th St., Overland Park, Kansas.
