Gowans Stadium is located just west of the Sports Arena on East 11th Avenue, just east of the intersection of 11th and Plum.
Events
A contestant may enter as many as three events in local and state meets. When three events are chosen, at least one running and one field event must be included. A participant at the North American Final is limited to one event only. Within each age group, boys will compete with boys, and girls will compete with girls. No one is allowed to move up an age group to compete (even a relay event). Children must compete in the state in which they reside.

The top three (3) finishers or placers of the local meets progress to the State meet in Hutchinson, Kansas.
First place winners at the Kansas State Finals will have their results compared with other first place winners from; Colorado, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.
To ensure fair representation of participants from all states and provinces, a minimum of five finalists are selected from each state/province. Those who do advance will have an all-expense paid trip to Hershey, PA for the North American Finals on August 2-5, 2012. Only those qualifying for the North American Finals will be notified.
Each participant in the North American Final receives an all-expense-paid trip to Hershey, Pennsylvania for four days where a schedule of fun filled events are enjoyed, including the Final Track and Field Meet.
The Hershey's North American Track and Field Youth Program is sponsored by the Presidents Council on Physical Fitness & Sports, The National Recreation and Park Association, and the National Association for Sport & Physical Education.

North American Finals:
